Last week, 17-18th April 2024, We were among the Exhibitors at the 9th Oil and Gas Convention at Serena Hotel, Kampala. The annual convention was organised by the Uganda Chamber of Mines and Petroleum (UCMP) under the theme “The Journey to first oil in the face of Energy Transition in Uganda.” We were privileged to have the Vice President of Uganda, H.E. Maj (Rtd). Jessica Alupo and the State Minister for Energy and Mineral Development Hon. Phiona Nyamutoro Visit our booth.
We also partnered with the conference organiser, UCMP and the Women in Energy and Extractives Network (WEEN) to organise the 20 under 40 Women trailblazers in Energy and Extractives Awards, Oil and Gas Edition. The awards aimed at recognising the contribution of young women in Uganda’s journey to first oil. The colourful ceremony was officiated by the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resource Development in Uganda, Dr. Hon. Ruth Nankabirwa.
